Lenny petted his cat Kasper and leaned back in his chair.
“Do they have the next batch ready?”
“Yes,” answered his brother Benjamin.
“It went well with the first one we set out among the wood elves. This time the Council of Elders, and especially Viggo, will know we mean business,” said Lenny.
“Are you sure you want to fuck with Viggo?”
Lenny stopped petting the cat and gave Benjamin a stern look.
“Especially Viggo,” said Lenny.
“And Santa Claus? C’mon, man. That’s like sacrilegious or something. What’s your problem with him?”
“Are you serious? He has hijacked the true meaning of the winter festival and sold out to the Christians and Coca Cola. Where does that leave us nisser?”
Benjamin immediately regretted having asked about Santa Claus- he knew Lenny’s reaction and had heard it many times. He still didn’t get it, really. Nisser were alive and well and doing their thing and couldn’t see why they shouldn’t just keep on keepin’ on.
“Let’s go over that plan again, Benny,” said Lenny.
Benjamin, damnit, my name is not Benny! screamed Benjamin inside his own head.
