Liz read aloud from a story on the internet, “The health official for the City of Berkeley says ‘The long, cold winter of COVID that we feared is upon us.’ And the story continues on with everything that will be affected by a new lockdown, which sounds exactly like the old lockdown in March.”
“Wow, a long, cold winter is like the Wildlings and White Walkers coming over The Wall, huh?” said J.J.
“The Wildlings I don’t know about- they just wanted a better life for their families and were persecuted because they were different,” said Liz.
“Maybe- but the White Walkers didn’t wish anybody any good, did they?”
William broke in, “Are you guys talking Game of Thrones again? I can understand real parallel realities- I mean we are living in one. But that’s just some made-up shit,” said William.
“Hey, now, we’re just having a good time,” said Liz.
“Would it be better if we compared it to a Sith Lord?” asked J.J.
“Now you’re talking,” said William.
“You’ve lost me, there, but I get the gist of it. Back to the lockdown,” said Liz.
William and J.J. just shook their heads with the thought of being even more confined.
